You can save a lot of money by buying package deals at hotels, rental houses and other common vacation destinations. If you aren't interested in sharing a room together, you can rent a house that has a common area and individual rooms. This way you can each have your own space but still keep costs low.

6. Many different locations and travel agencies now offer girlfriend getaways, women's weekends and other similar packages. These often cover room, board and activities. 1. Obstacle Course
Obstacle courses are always a fun way to expend some energy and enjoy the outdoors. This game can be played by children of all ages. Using what is already in the campsite, create a fun obstacle course, keeping in mind the ages of the children who will be playing. Use camp chairs, firewood, the tent, trees, picnic table, and anything else you like to set up the course. Once you've specified what each person has to do to get through the course, set a timer and get started. For older children, perhaps they would have to answer a riddle in addition to the physical requirements in order to go on to the next area of the obstacle course. 4. Stories Around the Campfire
Everyone likes a good story, so why not encourage your children to use their imagination and create their own original story? An adult can start the story with a brief few sentences and then the next person adds to the story. The story can be funny, serious, or scary - whatever you choose. It may be useful to set some guidelines for the older children so that the younger ones aren't up all night!

5. Rainy Day Camping Games
It's almost inevitable that you'll have at least one rainy or inclement day while camping. Plan to bring a few decks of cards for Rummy, Go Fish, or Solitaire. UNO is another great card game that the whole family can play together. If you have room, plan to bring a few board games to play under the canopy or inside the tent if the weather isn't cooperating. The Alphabet Game is fun too. One person begins by saying, "I'm going on a camping trip and I'm going to bring an apple."
